Captain George’s First Mate

Effective date: July 16, 2026  •  Last updated: July 16, 2026

Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant (“Captain George’s,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Captain George’s First Mate, an internal restaurant operations application for authorized managers and staff. This policy explains the information the app may process, why it is used, and the choices available to authorized users.

Summary: The app is designed for restaurant operations. It does not display third-party advertising, sell personal information, or use information for cross-app advertising tracking. Selected information may be stored on the device and synchronized through Apple CloudKit to provide app functionality.

1. Information the app may process

Depending on the features used and the information entered by authorized staff, the app may process:

  • Staff account and access information, such as name, email address, internal user identifier, role, assigned restaurant location, access status, and PIN-based access settings.
  • Operational contact information, such as vendor email addresses and telephone numbers entered for requested alerts or communications.
  • Purchasing and order information, such as vendor names, item names and codes, quantities, prices, order dates, purchase history, invoice details, and invoice-audit results.
  • Restaurant financial and operational information, such as vendor pricing, inventory values, food-cost calculations, expected sales, recipe costs, and production-planning values.
  • User-created operational content, such as recipes, preparation instructions, notes, vendor comments, catalog information, par levels, prep records, and saved reports.
  • Images selected by an authorized manager, such as a restaurant logo used for branding.

The app is not designed to collect payment-card information, health records, device address-book contacts, precise GPS location, or advertising identifiers.

2. How information is used

Information is used to provide and maintain app functionality, including to:

  • control access by staff profile, role, PIN, and assigned location;
  • create and manage restaurant orders;
  • maintain vendor bids, prices, catalog records, and item-code history;
  • compare invoice prices with approved weekly bids;
  • maintain purchasing, inventory, recipe, prep, and food-cost records;
  • synchronize approved information between authorized app installations;
  • create backups and support data recovery;
  • support security, lockouts, troubleshooting, and requested assistance.

3. Local storage and Apple CloudKit

The app stores information locally on the device and uses Apple CloudKit to synchronize selected operational information between authorized installations. Apple processes CloudKit information under Apple’s applicable terms and privacy practices.

Authorized-use reminder: Staff should not enter unnecessary medical information, payment-card information, banking credentials, government identifiers, or other highly sensitive personal information into free-form notes.

4. Communications and sharing

The app may allow an authorized user to intentionally send or share an order, report, vendor bid, alert, recipe, or other operational information through Apple Mail, Messages, the system share sheet, or another service selected by the user. These actions are initiated by the user. The chosen provider and recipient may process the shared information under their own terms and privacy practices.

5. Advertising, sale, and tracking

The current app does not display third-party advertising, sell personal information, or use collected information for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.

6. Retention

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the app, preserve restaurant purchasing and audit records, meet business or legal requirements, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Authorized managers may edit or remove certain information in the app. Backups and synchronized records may retain earlier information until they are replaced, deleted, or expire.

7. Access, correction, and deletion requests

Authorized users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible staff-profile information. Certain restaurant operational records may be retained where needed for accounting, security, audit, purchasing, or other legitimate business purposes.

Use the Privacy Choices and Data Request page or email privacy@cgpricebit.com.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information. Access to the app is limited through staff profiles, assigned locations, roles, and PIN-based controls. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Children

Captain George’s First Mate is a workplace operations application. It is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone who is not an authorized staff member.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, its features, or its information practices change. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
